What is Tick volume?
The number of price changes in a feed over a period, used as a stand-in for volume in decentralised markets such as spot forex and CFDs. Not the same as real volume.
In context
Tick volume is the number of times the quoted price changed during a candle, regardless of how much was traded. In MetaTrader and most forex or CFD charts, this count is what is labelled "Volume".
