Gold futures (GC), Oct 6, New York, rebuilt order by order from the exchange data:

• 10:19–10:30: sellers hit the bid at 4,171–4,175 (XAUUSD ≈4,144–4,148), right on the monthly POC. Almost 800 contracts sold, price barely moves
• The bid keeps refilling: buy icebergs absorb the selling
• Sellers run out. Gold comes back $20+ and returns above the monthly VWAP

Big volume, no progress = absorption. It's information, not a signal on its own.
