Can You Do Order Flow on TradingView? What Works and What Doesn't

Short answer: Partly. TradingView handles the volume-at-price side of order flow well: VWAP, volume profile (POC, value area) and session levels. True trade-by-trade delta, footprint and the order book need tick or exchange data, which most charts only approximate. A free option is AK FlowBook Lite, a public, protected script.

FAQ

Does TradingView have order flow?

It has volume profile, VWAP and some footprint/delta tools on paid plans, but true trade-by-trade order flow depends on the data feed. Many scripts approximate delta from candles.

Is there a free order flow indicator for TradingView?

Yes. AK FlowBook Lite is a free public script with VWAP, volume profile and order-flow context.

Can I see real volume for XAUUSD on TradingView?

Not from a CFD/spot feed; that is tick volume. Real gold volume comes from COMEX gold futures (GC, MGC).

Is candle-based delta reliable?

It can point the wrong way. In one hour on Oct 18, 2026, real BTC taker delta was +225 BTC while the candle proxy showed −103.
