Most issues come from three things: the chart timeframe, the default display filters, and TradingView's data and drawing limits. Start with the section that matches what you see.
The indicator is not in my list
- It is invite-only. Look in Indicators under Invite-only scripts, not in the public search.
- Check that you are logged in with the username you sent us. See Get access.
Nothing shows on the chart
- No volume: VWAP, profiles and flow need volume. Use a symbol that has volume data on TradingView (for example
OANDA:XAUUSDorCOMEX:GC1!). - Hidden indicator: check that the eye icon next to
AKFB Fullin the chart legend is on. - Scale: if the chart's price scale is pinned to another indicator, the lines may be off-screen. Right-click the price scale and reset it.
No setup context markers (AK labels)
Check these in order:
- Symbol and timeframe. By default markers appear only on XAUUSD or GC charts on a standard 5-minute timeframe. The dashboard header shows
CHECK XAU/GC • 5mwhen you are outside that scope. Switch the chart, or turn offLimit setup markers to XAU/GC 5-minute. Micro gold (MGC) is not recognized as GC. - Elite mode.
Marker modeElite shows only tierA+. Set it to Normal to see tiers A and B too. - Display switches. Both
Show qualified setup markersandAK Setup markers (Long / Short setup)must be on, andEnable setup enginemust be on. - Bar close. With
Confirm on bar closeon, markers appear only when the bar closes. - News window. No markers on Fridays 12:00 to 14:00 UTC by default (
News blackout (UTC)). - They are rare by design. The engine needs a level, a trigger, a reaction and enough agreeing layers. Many sessions have none at tier A+. The dashboard
Setup contextrow showsARMEDstates that did not complete.
No flow markers (D~, A~, CVD~ and others)
- Elite mode hides them. Set
Marker modeto Normal, or turn onShow enabled events in Elite mode too. - Clean mode hides
Δ÷and the chunk bubbles. SwitchDisplay modeto Analysis. - Some are off by default:
EXH exhaustion,LQ Liquidity sweeps,SFP swing failure,TK± Ichimoku crosses. D~near levels only:D~ display near location onlyis on by default.- XAU/GC limit:
LQ,SFP,Δ÷,EXHand the bubbles are also hidden on other symbols or timeframes whileLimit setup markers to XAU/GC 5-minuteis on. - No intrabar data: flow markers need intrabar data. See the next section.
Flow markers missing on older bars, or the header says PROXY
TradingView keeps a limited history of lower-timeframe bars. Before that point, the indicator falls back to a bar-only estimate and switches the flow markers and imbalance zones off. The dashboard title shows (pre-IB data) and the header shows PROXY when the last bar has no intrabars.
- This is expected on deep history. Recent bars should have intrabar data.
- Symbols without lower-timeframe volume stay in
PROXYmode.
The liquidity layer does not appear
- It runs only on 1- to 5-minute charts. On 15 minutes or higher it draws nothing.
- Check
Enable origin-TF liquidity layerand the class switches (15m levels: m,L2,MAJ). - It draws only within the last
Draw marks in the last N barsbars (2,000). Scroll back further and the marks stop. LQ-B*/LQ-S*labels need high volume on the sweep bar and the structure side to agree; without the star they are hidden unlessAlso show LQ-S / LQ-B without *is on.
Flow looks coarse on higher timeframes
With Intrabar timeframe on Auto, charts up to 1 hour use 1-minute intrabars. Above 1 hour the indicator switches to 5-, 15- or 60-minute intrabars, so each chart bar has fewer, larger pieces and the estimates are rougher. For flow detail, use a chart of 1 hour or less.
Markers appear and then disappear
D~,BV~andA~are evaluated on every update of the live bar and can change until it closes. Read them on closed bars.- FlowBook X with
Mark timingset to Instant live can do the same. Use Instant on close (default) or turn onConfirm FLOWBOOK X on candle close. CVD~,Δ÷and3D PRZappear a few bars after a swing and are drawn back on the swing bar. That is a delay, not a repaint.
Old drawings disappear, or the chart is crowded
TradingView allows a script a limited number of labels, lines and boxes. When the limit is reached, the oldest drawings are deleted.
- Turn off layers you do not use: FlowBook X (drawn across all history), chunk bubbles, zone boxes, the histogram.
- Lower
Max naked levels kept,Max bubbles per barorDraw marks in the last N bars. - For crowded right-side labels, turn off
Band 1 levelsorInclude prices in labels.
Script error, timeout or "study error"
AK FlowBook Full is a large script. If TradingView shows a calculation error, timeout or memory error:
- Refresh the page, or remove the indicator and add it again.
- Turn off heavy layers you do not need (FlowBook X, the liquidity layer, the histogram, imbalance detection).
- Use
Intrabar timeframeAuto instead of a seconds timeframe. - Load less history (zoom in, or use a shorter range).
- If it keeps happening, send us a DM with the symbol, timeframe and a screenshot of the error.
Settings change nothing
- Preset override:
Confirmed pivot length,Sweep lookback,Edge tolerance (ATR),Level cluster distance (ATR),Delta proxy Z threshold,Big-volume proxy Z thresholdandMinimum decision scoreonly take effect withMarket presetset to Manual. See Market presets. - Second switch: many markers have two switches (one in their group, one in Event Markers). Both must be on.
Alerts do not fire
See Alerts: the condition must be Any alert() function call, Enable unified runtime alerts must be on, the group switch must be on, and the alert must be recreated after any settings change.
Different numbers on OANDA:XAUUSD and COMEX:GC1!
This is expected:
- Basis: futures trade at a different price from spot gold. Every level is shifted by roughly that gap.
- Volume: CFD volume comes from the broker; futures volume from the exchange. VWAP, profiles and flow are weighted by volume, so they differ beyond the basis too.
- Sessions: the daily period starts at each symbol's own session start.
See Futures levels on a CFD chart to convert between them.
Numbers differ from your other platform or our daily posts
Profiles here are estimated from 1-minute bars, and the value area is built one price row at a time. A tick-based or order-book-based tool (such as AK FlowBook for NinjaTrader) will show slightly different POC, VAH and VAL values, and real delta instead of an estimate.
Education only. Not financial advice. Trading futures and CFDs carries a high risk of loss.
